Gary Moyers

Gary Moyers (Mandolin, Fiddle, Guitar, Dobro, Vocals) grew up in Lubbock, TX as the only child of a hard working house painter and a loving housewife. They started putting musical instruments into his hands at the age of 3. At age 11, Gary began playing cello in the school orchestra. This led to a series of new educational opportunities. By the time he graduated Monterey High School, Gary was comfortable on cello, guitar, mandolin, fiddle and banjo. Since then, he has gone on to play with the Flying J Wranglers in Ruidoso, NM, the Warehouse Band in Paris, TN and the Christ Family Fellowship Worship Band in Corpus Christi, TX. He also spent 15 years singing with the contemporary Christian group Acappella, touring the world and performing over 1,400 concerts. Gary is now the Worship Minister at Broadway Church of Christ.

Arlan Privett

Arlan Privett was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. His mom and grandparents farmed near New Deal, Texas in the early 1900’s. Fondly, he recounts his mom pointing out the North Fork of the Brazos River which creeps southward and through Lubbock. Arlan’s passion for fiddle began at twelve, mentored by his dad and brothers, and playing “New Moon”, “Faded Love” and so many others. He played two years for the Texas High School All-State Orchestras, two seasons in the Lubbock Symphony on the viola, taught beginning fiddle to about forty students, and plays with the worship team at Monterey Church of Christ. In his “day job”, he is a programmer at nQativ, an accounting software firm in Lubbock. Arlan’s passion for family began when he married LeAnn in 1984, and their two children are married and serving in ministry. Trivia time… Playing in Brazos West with Gary is a reunion after thirty-four years when they last performed together… and that was at Lubbock Christian University.
